Store Artists of the Month
(save 10% off of their work during July)

Be a pART of it! The Northville Art House is proud to showcase two area artists currently selling at the Art House Store.

Marilyn Grinnell is a silk scarf artist from Brighton, Michigan. She dyes all her scarves using the ‘shibori’ technique – a Japanese concept for dyeing cloth, much like tie-dyeing. Marilyn also hand paints some of her scarves, and then meticulously sews small beads to the corners for extra flair.

Patti Monroe-Mohrenweiser, also from Brighton, Michigan, is a mixed media artist. Patti works in encaustic, collage, handmade tiles, image transferring, and etched and hammered metal. She has a truly unique style and process through which she creates stimulating works of art. In 1987 Patti took her first Calligraphy class which introduced her to the creative outlet she was looking for – a means to express her thoughts and emotions intuitively and let words guide her through the materials and on to the finished product. The result is a beautiful blend of art and emotion.
